First, make sure that you make it a family event if you are actually traveling with family instead of just by yourself. It’s better to talk about the trip planned ahead of time instead of just assuming that everyone will go along with the things that you want to do. By showing the family that you value their opinion, you will have an easier time of getting the family to try new destinations.
Yet where do you start your search when there’s so much of the world to cover? Look to your interests, as well as your knowledge of history. Introducing more information about the world around you is never a bad thing. For example, if you have a deep passion for Italian culture, you can’t go wrong with going directly to Italy and checking out authentic Italian food, art, and music.
Even if your interests revolve around eating and shopping, traveling to another country is never a bad idea. You can check out the shops and look for natural architecture. The best part of going to another country is that you’re exposed to people who often live in completely different ways than you do — something that can remind us to value our differences as well as the culture we come from!
