If you’re thinking about NYC, you’ll be overrun with groups that would totally love to talk to you. After all, you’re bringing them a piece of a country they might have never traveled to. You also may run into other Aussies that are doing the same thing you are — how cool is that? Even if you’re shy, you’ll still be able to stand out when it’s time to do your interviews back home. An interviewer will be interested in hearing about what you did for a full year outside of your home country!
